Area Structure The California South Area World Service is comprised of the following service arms: Area World Service Board Area World Service Committee Area World Service Assembly Though represented on the Area Committee, the seven Service Centers, a.k.a. Intergroup Offices and/or Area Information Service/Literature Distribution Centers (AIS/LDC), are not governed by the Southern California World Service (SCWS). These offices perform a vital part of Public Information outreach and serve the California South Al-Anon Family Group (AFG) meetings by maintaining Al-Anon/Alateen meeting directories as well as having Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature (CAL) for sale
